Requirements

In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, a borrower must:

• Complete eight (8) hours of homebuyer education approved by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The borrower can meet this requirement by completing an online course, offered through our partner eHome America. 
   
• Meet for at least one (1) hour with a NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania Homeownership Counselor to review their budget and to discuss any questions about the second mortgage through this loan program.
   
• Meet with a NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania Homeownership Counselor six (6) months after closing and annually, for 7 years after closing.
