Neighbors to Lend a Hand
We pride ourselves on empowering people and building stronger communities. We are able to do this in part because we are part of a strong community ourselves—a community of partners that support stable, vibrant communities and homeownership. We work together to ensure we meet the needs of every potential homeowner.
Neighborhood Allies’ mission is to support the people, organizations and partnerships committed to creating and maintaining healthy neighborhoods. They do this by: creating community partnerships, connecting distressed and transitioning communities with valued/vetted resources, and communicating and celebrating progress and success. Through The Partnership Network (TPN), we enjoy working with Neighborhood Allies and other capacity building organizations to elevate the community and economic development sectors in the Pittsburgh region.
Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh’s mission is to cooperatively transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing their communities. RTP works collaboratively with nonprofit organizations, including NWWPA, to provide comprehensive support to homeowners in targeted communities throughout Pittsburgh. We are currently partnered with RTP to provide Financial Wellness and post-purchase services to homeowners in Pittsburgh’s East End.
SHIM mobilizes community resources and implements sustainable programs that compassionately help South Hills residents to meet basic needs, achieve self-sufficiency and build community. We are currently working with SHIM to better position all South Hills residents to take advantage of economic opportunities and pursue personal financial goals, including home, business, and property ownership. With support from the Jefferson Regional Foundation and the Mary Hillman Jennings Foundation, NWWPA offers counseling and education services at SHIM Center in Bethel Park and at SHIM Family Center in Prospect Park, with targeted outreach to the area’s immigrant community.
