De’Shawna is a Homeownership Counselor with NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania (NWWPA). She helps guide first-time buyers on the path to sustainable homeownership, drawing from her experience counseling in the Pittsburgh area.
Before joining NWWPA in 2020, she worked as a therapist with children and their families in the mental health field, helping them overcome a wide range of obstacles.
De’Shawna earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clarion University and a master’s degree in Education for Marriage and Family Therapy from Duquesne University.
She currently lives in the North Hills with her dogs, Samson and Delilah. In her spare time, De’Shawna participates in the many races Pittsburgh has to offer, including the Pittsburgh Marathon.
