Join C.C. Mellor Memorial Library Forest and NeighborWorks Western PA for First time Homebuyer Workshop

This interactive workshop will feature presentations from a homeownership counselor, loan officer, real estate agent, home inspector, and insurance broker.

You’ll learn about:
• How your credit score affects your mortgage rate
• The various loan options available to borrowers
• Planning for a down payment and closing costs
• How to shop for a home with confidence
• The types of insurance all homeowners need
• Maintaining your home after purchasing and avoiding foreclosure

We will also provided a light breakfast and lunch.

By completing this workshop and meeting one-on-one with a homeownership counselor, you’ll earn a Homebuyer Education Certificate, valid for one year.
